Tommy Hilfiger has announced that a contract has been made with apparel group Ittierre S.p.A who will license the runway collections of fall 2012 and pre-collections of spring 2013. The contract states that although Tommy Hilfiger will still maintain control over all collections, Ittierre will produce and distribute the apparel as well as most of the accessories. The distribution of the collections will not only count for the Tommy Hilfiger retail stores, but also the speciality and online retailers that carry the brand. Fred Gehring, Chief Executive Officer of The Tommy Hilfiger Group, said: "Over the past few years, the successful repositioning and elevation of the brand has led to an increase in the demand for our runway collections."
