Sandqvist and Denim Demon first met in 2009 during Berlin Fashion Week and since then have shared a similar set of values and love for crafts as well as a common attitude towards how fashion is created; and this laid the foundation for the collaboration. At the end of April 2012, Sandqvist and Denim Demon will launch the outcome of their cooperation; a project entitled “The best of two worlds”. Both brands represent a classic, timeless fashion that will last, regardless of current trends. ”The best of two worlds” is a classic backpack made out of carefully selected unwashed denim, canvas and vegetable tanned leather. The backpack features details such as, for example, Denim Demon’s signature pocket and it can easily hold a 13" laptop. ”We have long wanted to make a backpack in denim and it’s extra fun to do it together with Denim Demon”, says Anton Sandqvist, designer and founder of Sandqvist. For every bag sold, 50 Swedish kronor will be donated to the Swedish Society for Nature, the simple reason being that we share a love for nature and wilderness.
